Wurzweiler School of Social Work's Dr. Shannon Lane, associate professor and associate director of research for the Ph.D. program, co-published "" with Tanya Rhodes Smith, the director of the Humphreys Institute for Political Social Work, in the Connecticut Mirror.
The article was written as part of the two social work instructors' efforts to help pass laws that would allow early voting in Connecticut, one of the few states that don't allow such a process. They have already successfully advocated for same-day voter registration and automatic voter registration, and are also currently working on no-excuse absentee voting.
