Kayla Sullivan is making a difference in the lives of children across New York City鈥檚 schools, using her expertise, patience and dedication to help students overcome their own communication challenges.

The VL-RAG system, proposed by Katz School researchers, leverages a combination of deep-learning retrieval mechanisms and visual question-answering technologies to retrieve relevant visual and textual explanations based on students鈥� questions.

Dr. Marian Gidea, director of the Katz School鈥檚 graduate program in mathematical sciences, presented novel research on instability in a model from celestial mechanics called the Elliptic Hill Four-Body Problem (EH4BP).

While cognitive impairment did not account for the mismatch in physiological and perceived fall-risk among MS patients, the study highlights the broader impact of cognitive deficits on fall susceptibility.

The COVID-19 pandemic inspired Alissha Greer, a 2022 graduate of the Katz School鈥檚 M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology, to write Pablo鈥檚 Pandemic, a children鈥檚 book that blends humor, heart and a powerful message about family and resilience during challenging times.

Researchers at the Katz School and New Jersey Institute of Technology argue that the key to unlocking the secrets of topological metals lies in advanced mathematical tools from the field of C*-algebras.
