Dear Friends,
I hope you are all well and had a wonderful, family-filled Thanksgiving. I personally was thrilled to have all my children under one roof, albeit for only a day and a half, and I hope you found some similar nachas.
Winter is a busy time here at YU. We have so many engagement events from which you can choose, so please read carefully and mark your calendars.
I am also excited to introduce you to Eli Azizollahoff, our new Manager of Alumni Engagement. Eli, who graduated from Stern College for Women in 2020, joins us with a strong background in engagement and event planning, so please look for her at our next event and introduce yourself.

YU Global is a unique center that offers flexible, self-paced certificate programs and customized training to help people at all stages of their careers. This can be especially helpful to those of us who don鈥檛 have a lot of time but still want to grow professionally. Upcoming Events
Shenk Shul Women鈥檚 Learning
On Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2024, women will gather at Shenk Shul, 560 W. 185th Street, New York, NY 10033, for an evening of independent learning and a featured shiur by Rabbi Aryeh Lebowitz, Abraham Arbesfeld Torah Dean of RIETS. The event begins at 7:30 p.m. and is free, but registration is required. A light dinner will be served.
Sephardic Writing of the Enlightenment
On Thursday, Dec. 5, 2024, join Prof. Carsten Wilke, the inaugural Herman Prins Salomon Fellow, at 7 p.m. for a discussion of Sephardic clandestine writing of the Early Enlightenment.
Finances for Dual Citizens
On Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2024, at 7 p.m., YU in Israel is hosting a discussion at the Gruss Campus in Jerusalem about finances and investments for dual Israeli and American citizens with Aaron Katsman, President of Lighthouse Capital, Rifka Lebowitz of Living Financially Smarter in Israel, and Fred Kahn, CEO of Phillip Stein & Associates.

On Thursday, Jan. 30, 2025, Weil, Gotshal and Manges in midtown New York will host the second annual YU Real Estate Day. - Sunday, Feb. 16, 2025: The second annual Women鈥檚 Yom Iyun: Come Learn at Stern, a Dor l鈥橠or program of YU, will take place the Sunday of President鈥檚 Day weekend. All YU alumnae are invited with their daughters, granddaughters鈥攅ven their old Stern roommate!鈥攖o learn with the faculty of the Torah and Spiritual Life at Stern College for Women program.
- Monday, Feb. 17, 2025: The third annual Dor l鈥橠or men鈥檚 learning on the Wilf Campus will take place on President鈥檚 Day. Save the date for an unforgettable experience of Torah learning, for fathers, sons and male alumni from all walks of YU. Come participate in the shiurim and the vibrancy of the Beit Midrash, just like you did when you were a student.
- Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025: Save the date for the third annual Alumni Night with the Macs. Bring the family Motzei Shabbat for dinner at the Max Stern Athletic Center before watching the Macs take on Mount Saint Mary College in the last game of the regular season.
- Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025: Alumni Discount Night at the Seforim Sale. Whether you鈥檒l already be at the Macs game for Alumni Night or you鈥檙e coming in exclusively for the Seforim Sale, Motzei Shabbat is when you can save 5% at the sale just for being an alum. You must have an alumni ID to be eligible for this discount.

From working on farms to tying tzitzit for soldiers or cooking for families with loved ones in miluim [reserve duty], we鈥檙e here to help match you with a project that makes a difference. Helping Students

Please consider joining the YU Mentoring Volunteer Program, a group of over 800 alumni willing to speak to students about career-related topics.
