Artificial Intelligence Biotechnology Computer Science Cybersecurity Data Analytics and Visualization Digital Marketing and Media Mathematics Occupational Therapy Physician Assistant Physics Speech-Language Pathology Our Mission The Wilf Campus Writing Center offers a friendly and comfortable environment where members of the YU community seek writing advice and feedback from trained and dedicated tutors. The Writing Center aims to help writers gain the skills and confidence to articulate themselves more clearly in prose. We operate on the principle that a powerful way that people learn to improve their writing is through engagement with others. Respectful of the needs of different individuals, disciplines, and contexts, we facilitate conversations about writing both in the Center and across campus to help writers produce diverse types of texts, whether academic, extracurricular, or professional. Some of our most important conversations take place in one-with-one tutoring sessions that help writers succeed in their own work. We Help All Members of the YU Community on All Kinds of Writing, Including: Undergraduates starting First Year Writing and Business Communication Assignments; Upperclassmen organizing research papers for their majors; Creative writers completing works for publication; Students applying for jobs or graduate and professional schools; Ph.D. candidates revising doctoral dissertations; Faculty editing their scholarly articles and books; Staff and alumni preparing special projects. We Also Offer Writing resources, including handbooks and handouts, and links to online resources. Computers, Internet access, and a comfortable place to write.
